The journey begins with an off-road drive to an old eyeliner mine. Next, we visit nomads in their traditional woven tents, where you can experience their unique lifestyle while sipping Berber tea. The adventure continues to Khamlia village, renowned for its vibrant Gnaoua music and dance performances, a cultural treasure brought by its inhabitants from countries like Mali, Sudan, and Niger. After a break for lunch at a local restaurant, we take a peaceful stroll through a palm grove and visit the wild lake of Merzouga, also known as Flamingos Lake.
In the afternoon, the journey transforms as you mount a camel to traverse the golden dunes of the Sahara. A stop atop a high dune provides a breathtaking view of the sunset before continuing to a luxury desert camp. Following a stroll through the bustling Rissani Souk, we head to Erfoud to visit a workshop specializing in fossilized marble. Our journey then takes us through the lush palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, leading to the breathtaking Todra Gorges. Carved by the Todra River, this dramatic canyon features towering red cliffs, making it a favorite spot for rock climbers. Take time to wander the gorges and marvel at the striking scenery.
