Itinerary
Your 3 day tour from Marrakech to Merzouga begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel or riad. We’ll drive towards the Merzouga desert, crossing the stunning High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll make stops to enjoy breathtaking views.
Our first highlight is a visit to Ait Benhaddou, where you’ll explore the famous Kasbah and take in its panoramic views. This historic fortified village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, has appeared in iconic films and TV shows such as Prince of Persia, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones. After lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll continue our journey.
In the late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll check into a charming riad. Enjoy a delicious dinner and spend a restful night, preparing for the next day’s desert adventure.

Start your day early by watching a breathtaking sunrise over the vast Erg Chebbi dunes from your riad. After a delicious breakfast, your desert adventure begins. We’ll take you on a 4×4 SUV ride to visit the Berber Nomads living beyond the dunes. Your guide will share their way of life and unique cultural practices. Along the way, you’ll explore the hidden village of Mefis, enjoy the rhythms of Gnawa music in Khamlia village, and, if visible, see the vibrant Lake of Birds.
After a satisfying lunch, you’ll return to your riad for some relaxation or a refreshing swim before heading out for an afternoon camel ride to the desert camp. Enjoy an unforgettable camel trek deep into the dunes, where you’ll witness the sunset and have the chance to try sandboarding. As night falls, you'll stay in a luxurious desert camp, savor a delicious dinner, and experience the enchanting beauty of the desert under the stars.

As we continue our journey from Merzouga to Marrakech, we’ll pause in Ouarzazate for a delicious lunch. Then, we’ll drive through the majestic High Atlas Mountains once again, heading back towards Marrakech. Your 3-day desert tour will come to a close with a drop-off at your accommodation in Marrakech.
